In the school year 2016 - 2017, Nguyen Dinh Chieu high school in My Tho city has 1,864 students. The school has focused on teaching student according to the orientation of develop student’s ability, examining, evaluating and applying knowledge into practice in accordance with the ability and need of students. By the end of the school year, the rate of students achieved good behaviors was 98.5%, the rate of good students was 55.7% and 102 awards in excellent student examinations at all levels.

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Tran Thanh Duc congratulated the school's achievements in the last school year and noted that the school's teachers need to actively innovate their teaching and learning methods according to modern direction, to educate orientation for students on the basis of comprehensive education development as well as to appreciate teaching words - teaching people.

On this occasion, the school rewarded 287 excellent students represented more than 1,039 excellent students at the school.
