Winners of KOVA Awards 2017 honoured in Hanoi
Two researches on applied science and eight outstanding individuals whose work has benefited the community were honoured with the 15th KOVA Awards at a ceremony held in Hanoi on December 2.

Accordingly, Ho Chi Minh City University Medical Centre was awarded for their programme on the management of Asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) while the Ho Chi Minh City Hung Vuong Hospital was acknowledged for their research in the field of obstetrics.
This year’s awards also went to seven students with outstanding achievements in scientific researches while KOVA scholarships were presented to 118 others from underprivileged backgrounds, who have excelled academically from 41 universities across the country.
Speaking at the ceremony, former Vice President Nguyen Thi Doan, Chairwoman of the KOVA Awards Committee stressed that over its 15 editions, the awards have honoured many scientific research projects which then have been successfully applied into life.
She called on the awards winners to continue nurturing their passion for research and making further contributions to the community.
Assoc. Prof. Dr Nguyen Thi Hoe, who was also the Chairwoman of KOVA Paint Group, expressed her belief that the awards will duplicate more outstanding individuals and groups and contribute to nurturing the country’s future generation.
