90 freshmen receive "Giving strength to students" scholarship

ABO – On September 15, Tuoi Tre Newspaper coordinated with the Tien Giang and Ben Tre provincial Youth Union to hold the "Giving strength to students" (Tiep suc den truong) scholarship awarding ceremony for 90 freshmen who overcome difficulties, including 6 students with special difficulties received scholarships which are worth VND 15 million per portion.

With the total scholarship grant of VND 900 million, 84 freshmen were awarded the scholarships which are worth VND 10 million per portion; and 6 students with special difficulties received scholarships which are worth VND 15 million per portion.

The total scholarship is funded by the "Giving strength to students" club and the Tien Giang provincial Business Club, the Ben Tre provincial Business Club at Ho Chi Minh city.

It is known that, in 2018, Tuoi Tre Youth Newspaper cooperated with 63 provinces and cities to give more than 1,000 scholarships to freshmen, with a budget of more than VND 25.5 billion. After 15 years of implementation, up to now, the “Giving strength to students" scholarship has supported more than 16,500 freshmen overcoming difficulties  with the total cost of over VND 95 billion.
