The equipment is used in clinical application for skin regeneration and scar removal.
According to the Laser Science and Technology Co., Ltd. (Lascitec), at present, the demand in the dermatological field in Vietnam and regional countries remains huge. However, there is no Vietnamese unit which can independently research and make physical systems using laser that meet standard parameters.
All machines of this kind used in Vietnam are imported from the Republic of Korea (RoK), China and Western countries, the company said.
Huynh Thien Vuong, a representative from Lascitec, shared that the product is being piloted at the Central Military Hospital 108 and several dermatological clinics in Ho Chi Minh City and the southern province of Dong Nai. A product is priced at around 15,000 USD, 30 percent lower than those of the same segment bought from the RoK.
Together with Vietnam, Lascitec intends to export its product to foreign markets such as Thailand, Laos, Myanmar and the Philippines.
At the ceremony, the company signed cooperation contracts with plastic surgery centres in Ho Chi Minh City, Dong Nai and Binh Duong provinces to commercialise this kind of product.
