Meeting on the occasion of Vietnamese Doctors' Day (February 27)

At the meeting, delegates of departments, agencies, mass organizations, excellent physicians and health officials and officials heard Uncle Ho's letter to medical staff; letter from the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee sending to officials and employees of the Tien Giang Health sector on the occasion of Vietnam Doctor's Day; reviewing the tradition of Vietnamese medical staff through periods of dedication and energy for the cause of people's health care.
In 2018, most of the basic indicators of the Tien Giang Health sector reached and exceeded the plan with outstanding results. Regarding prevention and control, the sector maintained good control of diseases.
Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Thanh Duc praised efforts to implement the health care task of the health sector in the past year.
He suggested that in the coming time, the sector should continue to improve the capacity and quality of preventive medicine and disease control, contributing to take good care of people's health in the province, especially often piercing medical ethics education, code of conduct in physicians towards the patient's satisfaction.
On this occasion, 13 individuals with outstanding achievements were awarded the Certificate of Merit by the Prime Minister; 3 collectives including Tien Giang Department of Population - Family Planning, Cai Lay General Hospital and My Tho city Medical Center awarded the Excellent Emulation Flag by the Provincial People's Committee in 2018.
