Training course on standard of countries for fruit import

ABO – The Tien Giang Department of Plant Protection in coordination organized a training course on standards of countries for Vietnamese fruit import, on June 14.

Participants were given information about the situation, needs and orientation of Vietnam's fruit export to foreign markets as well as plant quarantine regulations and requirements of fruit importing countries.

Besides, the trainees are also instructed the process of issuing codes for planting fruit trees for export to difficult markets; regulations on residues of plant protection drugs in international trade and solutions to control residues of plant protection drugs in agricultural products of plant origin; regulations on export of high economic value crops such as star apple, dragon fruit, mango, watermelon, etc...; updating regulations of the Chinese market, etc...

The training aimed to equip farmers and businesses with basic knowledge so that the parties could join in production according to safety standards, meeting strict requirements from the international market.
