Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations works with Tien Giang province

ABO - On June 20, the delegation of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations (VUFO), led by the Chairwoman of the VUFO Nguyen Phuong Nga, worked with the Tien Giang province on people's foreign affairs.

Recently, the Tien Giang Union of Friendship Organizations mobilized aid from international organizations and individuals, non-governmental organizations to implement projects in Tien Giang province with a total cost of nearly 61 billion VND. There are 34 foreign non-governmental organizations registered to operate in Tien Giang province, of which 14 units are currently partners of the Provincial Union of Friendship Organizations, operating in Tien Giang province.

In addition, more than 70 foreign volunteer groups supported construction days of building items of school facilities, great unity, medical examination and treatment for the poor, with about 1,250 turns of work days.

At the working session, Chairwoman of the VUFO Nguyen Phuong Nga highly appreciated the role of Tien Giang province in the people's foreign affairs. In the recent period, the VUFO at the central level had a disruption in personnel so the unit did not pay due attention to the local union.

The delegation will acknowledge the comments and difficulties of the provincial union so that the VUFO can adjust accordingly. The VUFO will try to support and introduce foreign NGOs and national agencies to interact with the locality in order to strengthen cultural and diplomatic exchanges and activities aid for Tien Giang province, etc...
