Winners of science and technology contest for children announced
ABO/NDO –SMEG Team, from Hanoi’s Dai Mo Primary School, and Tomorrow Land, from Nguyen Tri Phuong Junior Secondary School, won first prizes at the contest entitled “I love science – Child technology talents”.

The final round of the contest entitled “Smart city” was held by the Teky Young Technology Education JSC and Microsoft Vietnam in Hanoi on June 1.
The contest, designed for children aged 8-15, was implemented over the past seven months and received 280 entries from 1,134 students across the country. The 71 best works were selected for the final round of the contest.
According to the Organising Board, contestants have many new and unique ideas which are suitable with the current social situation, contributing to dealing with problems through friendly interfaces and systems.
Some notable ideas include a street lighting system operating in accordance with the environment, smart lanes to reduce traffic congestion, an automated agricultural system, artificial sun, and others.
With breakthrough ideas and convincing presentation skills, SMEG Team and Tomorrow Land both seized the first prize of the contest.
An exhibition on education solutions and hi-tech products and services applied in the building of a smart city was held alongside the final round of the contest.
