According to Tien Giang Department of Education and Training, there are currently 170 public preschools in the province, 1,507 groups of children and kindergartens.

According to the Circular 06, the total number of groups and classes mentioned above requires 3,384 preschool teachers but there are currently only 2,389 preschool teachers in the province. In each school year, although there are many admissions, districts still cannot recruit preschool teachers because of the large workload, high pressure, low remuneration, high number of quitting jobs, etc ...

Tien Giang Department of Education and Training proposed the PPC to submit to the Provincial People's Council to consider supporting teachers and staff in public preschool education institutions on meals, gasoline and motor vehicles with a total budget of over 33.7 billion VND/school year.
