Within the rankings of 63 provinces and centrally governed cities, the A level was awarded to Can Tho, Da Nang, Quang Ngai, Quang Ninh, Thai Nguyen, Thua Thien Hue and Vinh Phuc.
There are 45 provinces and cities rated at the B level and 11 rated at the C level.
The results are based on actual assessments and surveys in the five pillars of legal measures, technical measures, organizational measures, capacity development and cooperation similar to that of the ITU’s Global Cybersecurity Index.
According to the AIS, the majority of ministries and local authorities have paid attention to and begun to implement measures to ensure cybersecurity.
Since the rankings were first introduced three years ago, the number of A-rated units has increased from zero in 2018 to 4 in 2019 and then to 9 in 2020.
