Ho Chi Minh City inaugurates electronic training centre
ABO/NDO- The International Electronic Training Centre (IETC) was inaugurated on March 25 in Ho Chi Minh City, a major element to form the city’s electronics industry and microchip ecosystem.
It is the joint effort of the Saigon Hi-tech Park’s Training Centre and Sun Electronics.
Sun Electronics General Director Huynh Tan Buu said the centre will hold international-standard training programmes designed and taught by Vietnamese specialists working at large companies in the US Silicon Valley.
The trainees of the IETC are Vietnamese engineers, university graduates and startup entrepreneurs in the fields of electronics and integrated circuits.

Speaking highly of the IETC from its idea to its establishment, Minister of Science and Technology Huynh Thanh Dat said the centre is an important element to help form the electronics and microchip ecosystem of Ho Chi Minh City.
For his part, Ho Chi Minh City Chairman Phan Van Mai stated that the electronics and microchip industry is one of the sectors that the city prioritises by preparing policies, infrastructure and human resources.
He expressed his expectations that the IETC will operate effectively and make active contributions to the electronics and microchip industry.
On the occasion, the Saigon Hi-tech Park’s Training Centre and Sun Electronics signed agreements with MediaTek to use its chipsets in training activity and product design at the IETC.
The management board of the Saigon Hi-tech Park also signed a cooperation agreement with the National Innovation Centre to implement the IETC model in Hanoi.
