14th Vietnam Stage Day marked in Hanoi

ABO/NDO- Artists throughout Vietnam gathered at a ceremony held at the Hanoi Opera House on September 25 to celebrate the 14th Vietnam Stage Day and pay tribute to the ancestors of Vietnamese art forms.

Speaking at the ceremony, People’s Artist Trinh Thuy Mui, President of the Vietnam Association of Stage Artists, emphasised that August 12 (lunar calendar) is the day that theatre artists express their gratitude to theatre’s ancestors, who overcame all social prejudices, to create unique and valuable forms of theatre art, enriching Vietnamese cultural identity. This is also an opportunity to give thanks to the audience for accompanying artists in preserving and promoting traditional Vietnamese theatre art.

At the event, the Vietnam Association of Stage Artists presented gifts to senior artists and artists who won the Ho Chi Minh Awards and the State Awards for Literature and Arts.
