Nhan Dan Newspaper's journalists win first prize at Science and Technology Press Awards
ABO/NDO- A group of journalists from Nhan Dan (People) Newspaper won the first prize in the 2023 Science and Technology Press Awards at a ceremony held in Hanoi on May 16.
The journalists were honoured for a special coverage entitled 'Artificial Intelligence in Vietnam', which includes five interviews with the leaders of five leading AI businesses in Vietnam, namely Viettel, Microsoft, BKAV, VinBigdata, and VinAI; and an in-depth article analysing the development and application of AI to promote national digital transformation in Vietnam.

The series of articles provided readers with the perspectives of leading domestic experts on AI in general and ChatGPT in particular, as well as an overview of the development of AI in Vietnam. At the same time, the articles proposed solutions to further advance the AI application in Vietnam in the coming time.
Hosted by the Ministry of Science and Technology, the annual press awards aim to honour authors and journalists whose works reflected the outcomes in the country’s-sci-tech development in a timely manner.
This year’s event attracted nearly 200 entries by press agencies at both central and local levels.
At the awards ceremony, the organising board presented 23 prizes, including four first, six second, four third, and nine consolation prizes to the most outstanding entries across the five categories of: printed newspapers, online newspapers, television, radio, and photojournalism.
