138 entries join contest to discover Viet Nam's blockchain talent

ABO/NDO- With 320 ideas submitted, 220 teams registered, and 138 official entries received after nearly two months of launching, the “VietChain Talents 2025” competition has drawn impressive numbers—highlighting its strong appeal and fierce competitiveness.

VietChain Talents 2025 is being held in the context of a booming blockchain and digital asset market in Viet Nam, following the official ratification of the Digital Technology Industry Law by the National Assembly on June 14, 2025. At the same time, blockchain technology has been classified as a Strategic Technology under Decision No. 1131/QD-TTg signed by the Prime Minister on June 12, 2025.

Organised by 1Matrix Corporation, the Viet Nam Blockchain Association, and the Government Cipher Committee, the competition aims to identify and nurture talents while honouring practical, innovative, and breakthrough blockchain initiatives that can contribute to the nation’s digital transformation process.

Since its announcement in May 2025, the competition has generated widespread traction across media platforms, reaching over 30 million viewers through news outlets, television, and social media channels including YouTube, Facebook, and TikTok.

By the submission deadline of June 30, 2025, the organising committee had received 320 concept proposals, with 220 teams officially registered and 138 completed entries submitted. These entries fall under four key themes that align with global blockchain development trends.

The contest attracted a diverse range of participants—from professional engineers and fintech experts from organisations such as Techcombank, OneMount Group, FPT, Misa, SkyMavis, Decom Stars, AnyAxis Labs, MSB, VPBank, and HDBank.

Notably, the programme also welcomed high-quality submissions from over 20 leading universities and educational institutions across the country.

Phan Duc Trung, Chairman of 1Matrix and the Viet Nam Blockchain Association, emphasised: “VietChain Talents is not just a competition—it is a launchpad for genuine talent and groundbreaking ideas that contribute to building a vibrant and sustainable blockchain ecosystem in Viet Nam.”

The semi-final and final rounds are expected to take place in August 2025 in Ha Noi. The total prize is valued at 3.5 billion VND.
