Chairman of the PPC surveys the traffic safety situation
ABO - In the morning of February 26, Chairman of the Tien Giang provincial People's Committee (PPC) Le Van Huong, Head of the Provincial Traffic Safety Board surveyed the traffic safety situation in some key areas in the province.
* At the Phu My junction (National Highway 1 – the Provincial Road 866), Chairman of the PPC surveyed the failure of National Highway 1 and the provincial road 866; the faults of the wheels on Highway 1 at the intersection.
* At the gate area of Wondo Vina One-member Co,. Ltd in Cho Gao district (National Highway 50), Chairman of the PPPC surveyed the situation of people building construction, buying and selling encroachment of traffic safety corridors to make high potential loss traffic safety.
* At Km 70 + 705, National Highway 50 belongs to Binh Tho Dong hamlet, Binh Phan commune, Cho Gao district (where traffic accident happened between motorcycles and passenger cars causing 2 deaths on February 13), Chairman of the PPC assigned the Department of Transport to preside over and coordinate with other agencies as well as the concerned units to work out a plan on handling and re-organizing traffic in this area.
According to a report of the Provincial Traffic Safety Board, the road accidents in the seven days of the Lunar New Year happened 15 cases, up 6 cases, up 66% over the same period in Lunar New Year in 2017.
At the meeting to assess the situation, order and safety, traffic safety in the Lunar New Year 2018, Chairman of the PPC required the mobilization of the whole political system to reduce the accident in the future.
