Chairwoman of the Vietnam Women's Union visits Long Hung temple historic monument

ABO - On April 10, on the occasion of working on Tien Giang province, Member of the Party Central Committee, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Women's Union Nguyen Thi Thu Ha offered flowers and incense at Nguyen Thi Thap temple at Long Hung temple historic monument in Chau Thanh district.

The delegation offered flowers and burn incense in remembrance of Nguyen Thi Thap, the outstanding person of Nam Ky Khoi Nghia homeland, spending her life devoted to the cause of national liberation and unification country, especially Vietnamese women movement.

Nguyen Thi Thap is also the only woman to participate in the National Assembly from the first term to the sixth term; holding the position of Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly from the 2th term to 6th term. She was elected Chairwoman of the Vietnam Women's Union from 1956-1974.

Besides, the delegation heard the explanation of the life, life and career of Nguyen Thi Thap, visiting exhibits of artifacts of the Nam Ky uprising.
