The 2019 "Women's Start-up" Festival encourages creativity of women

ABO – On October 17, the Tien Giang provincial Women's Union organized the 2019 Women’s Start-up Festival.

The provincial Women's Union awarded the A prize of the contest to Director of Truong Phat Agriculture - Trade - Service Cooperative Dong Thi Thu Hoai (Go Cong Tay District).

Speaking at the festival, Chairwoman of the Tien Giang provincial Women's Union Nguyen Thi Kim Phuong emphasized: After two years of implementing the “Supporting women start-ups” project, all levels of Women's Union in the province organized propaganda and supporting start-up women with many diverse and diversified forms.

Accordingly, all levels of the Association propagandize in 267.457/327.260 female members, reaching 81.7%. As of June 2019, 105 new female-owned businesses have been established, supporting the establishment of five women's-managed cooperatives, supporting 195 women wishing to start a business, with the above amount of money. 3.5 billion VND, etc... The festival will continue to inspire and promote the realization of innovative and entrepreneurial ideas among women members.

The festival took place with many activities: Organizing exhibition stands, introducing startup products of women members in 11 districts, towns and cities; counseling, job placement for women in need; organizing the sharing of experiences of female businesses, micro entrepreneurs for women members wishing to start a business, etc...

On this occasion, the provincial Vietnam Women's Union summarized the "Ideas of start-up creative women" contest in 2019. After the launching time, the contest has received 173 start-up ideas of members.
The Organizing Committee has selected 30 potential and feasible ideas to the final round and awarded prizes including 1 prize A, 2 prizes B, 2 prizes C and 6 Consolation prizes.
