Holding solemnly 150th anniversary of death of hero Truong Dinh

0n Agust 20, Tien Giang province held solemnly 150th anniversary of death of hero Truong Dinh  (August 20, 1864-2014)

President Truong Tan Sang, former Vice President Truong My Hoa, Tien Giang’s Party Committee Secretary Tran The Ngoc, former Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Tran Thi Kim Cuc, etc… and many important leaders of central and province attdend a ceremony.

Quang Ngai’s Party Committee Acting Nguyen Minh and leaders of provicial Party Committee and People's Committee, etc… also attended a ceremony.

The President Truong Tan Sang, former Vice President Truong My Hoa offered incense at the grave of hero, Truong Dinh.

Besides, there were the representative leaders of Long An, Vinh Long, Đồng Tháp province and the delegate of Truong family; For Hoang Sa, Truong Sa Club in Ho Chi Minh city, businesses in Ho Chi Minh City; the representative of dictricts, citties which are twinned with Go Cong Dong District and Go Cong Town.

These attandance offered incense, laid wreath at the grave of hero, Truong Dinh and the temple dedicated to the hero in Go Cong town and Gia Thuan commune in Go Cong Dong district, Tien Giang province.

Secretary of Tien Giang provincial Party Committee Tran The Ngoc reviewed the life and career of the national hero in early days of the resistance war against the French colonialists more than 150 years ago. He had set a shining example of patriotism and strong will to fight against invaders and defend the country which has been preserved and promoted by younger generations.
