Consul General of India visits Tien Giang

Mr. Tran The Ngoc, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and many leaders of relevant departments have just welcomed Ms. Smita Pant warmly and introduced her to the the natural conditions, socioeconomic developments of Tien Giang province.

Mr. Tran The Ngoc, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee offered a souvenir to the Consul General of India.

He also expressed his high opinion of multilateral cooperation between India and Tien Giang province in general. In particular, in early of November, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee will lead the delegation of the provincial leaders to visit India in the learning experiences program for developing modern agricultral technology.

Ms. Smita Pant also met Mr. Nguyen Van Khang, Chairman of the provincial People's Committee and leaders of departments.

Mr Khang expressed interest in these issues: promoting investment and trade; agricultural production of high quality; wind energy; plant protection technology, researching and applying to beneficial microorganisms in the rehabilitation of agricultural land contaminated by residues of plant protection products ...

Ms. Smita Pant said that the delegation of 40 Indian leading enterpries will come to Viet Nam to explore investment environment, trade promotion and cooperation in all fields, in early of December. She will counsel the delegation to learn about Tien Giang province, contributing to boost cooperation relations between the two friendly countries in general and Tien Giang province in particular.
