My Phuoc Tay High School is renamed
On the morning of December 20, People’s Committee of Cai Lay town held a ceremony to change My Phuoc Tay High School name to Le Van Pham. Mr Le Hong Quang, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Mr Tran Thanh Duc, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, leaders of Cai Lay town and the relatives of Le Van Pham attended this event.

At the ceremony, Ms Tran Thi Quy Mao, Deputy Director of Department of Education and Training implemented Decision No 2533/QD-UBND of the Provincial People's Committee dated 16-10-2014 to change My Phuoc Tay High School to Le Van Pham.
Mr Le Van Pham was born in 1922 in My Phuoc Tay commune, Cai Lay district (now is Cai Lay town) and died in 1990. He was the revolutionary with many important contributions to the cause of building and defending the nation. He was awared the Medal of Ho Chi Minh; 3rd Class anti-French resistance Medal; First Class Medal of Resistance against American,etc… and many different decorations, medals.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr Duc said that the renaming My Phuoc Tay High School to Le Van Pham was the aspirations of the veteran revolutionary, the executive committee, the authority and people of Cai Lay town in general as well as My Phuoc Tay commune in particular.
The school was renamed to remember the merits of Mr Le Van Pham, a predecessor revolutionary, who contributed a lot of effort for the homeland of Cai Lay and Tien Giang province. Thereby, reminding the younger generation today should continue to promote the tradition, striving to complete the outstanding tasks of learning, labor and building the homeland.
