Tan Thanh commune is proclaimed the new rural commune

On December 4, Tan Thanh commune was proclaimed the new rural commune by the Cai Be district People’s Committee and The Provincial Standing Steering Committee for National Targeted Program to build new ruaral areas. Mr Nguyen Van Khang, Chairman of the Tien Giang People’s Committee attended.

Mr Bui Van Tinh, Chairman of the Tan Thanh commune People’s Committee reported briefly the results of carrying out 19 standards required for a new rural commune. Tan Thanh commune is the second commune of Tien Giang province meeting 19 standards required for a new rural commune. After 4 years of implementing the National National Targeted Program to build new ruaral areas, Tan Thanh has got many obvious achievements.

Tan Thanh Commune has mobilized and invested more than VND151 billion (people contributed more than VND31 billion) to upgrade its infrastructure, such as asphalting all main roads and building concrete lanes. The commune’s average per capita income as yet stood at VND30.5 million, an increase of 176 percent, etc…

At the ceremony, the Tien Giang People’s Committee gave Tan Thanh commune the emulation flag and VND1 billion as well as the Certificate of Merit for 8 individuals by their outstanding achievements in building Tan Thanh commune recognized a new rural area in 2014.
