Holding solemnly a ceremony to celebrate the 230th anniversary of Rach Gam-Xoai Mut Victory

On the evening of January 19, Tien Giang province held solemnly a ceremony to celebrate the 230th anniversary of the Rach Gam – Xoai Mut Victory (January 20, 1785-2015).

Tien Giang’s Party Committee Secretary Tran The Ngoc and provincial leaders offered incense at Rach Gam-Xoai Mut Victory monument.

Mr Le Thanh Hai, Politburo member and Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee; former Vice President Truong My Hoa, Tien Giang’s Party Committee Secretary Tran The Ngoc, etc… and many important leaders of central and province attdend a ceremony. Besides, there were the representative leaders of Binh Dinh, Long An, Vinh Long, Ben Tre province.

Mr Nguyen Van Khang, Chairman of Tien Giang Provincial People's Committee, reviewed the tradition history of 230 years of Rach Gam – Xoai Mut Victory; the glorious feat of  the Tayson insugent army and the national hero Truong Dinh as well as the contributions of Tien Giang people to destroy nearly five thousand Siamese troops, making the illustrion “Bach Dang battlle in Mekong River” in history, etc…

Receiving the certificate of raking Rach Gam - Xoai Mut Victory relic as special national relic site.

On this occasion, Tien Giang province has announced the Decision No 2408/QĐ-TTg of the Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam on the ranking of Rach Gam – Xoai Mut Victory relic as special national relic site.
