NASC convenes 35th session
The National Assembly Standing Committee (NASC) began the 35th session on February 25.

Addressing the opening ceremony, NA Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung highlighted the session’s focus on constructing laws to realise the 2013 Constitution. The NASC will discuss the Law on Election of NA and People's Council deputies, the Law on Natural Resources, Sea and Island Environment and amendments to the Law on the State Budget.
The delegates will also comment on draft laws on referendum, organisation of criminal investigation agencies and temporary detention. The draft laws will be improved and submitted to the NA in the coming ninth session.
In the morning, the NASC gave ideas about several issues in the Law on Election of NA and People's Council deputies, which had been discussed in the eighth NA session though differening ideas still remain.
