Deputy Prime Minister Vu Van Ninh works with Tien Giang
On April 8, Deputy Prime Minister Vu Van Ninh's delegation worked with leaders of Tien Giang province on the situation of new rural construction associated with sustainable poverty reduction.

Working with the delegation, Tien Giang province consists of Nguyen Van Danh has, Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the provincial Council; Le Hong Quang, Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee; Nguyen Van Khang, Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee and leaders of departments and localities.
Nguyen Van Khang, chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, reported the summary result of implementing socioeconomic development plan of the province and some proposals to the Government.
Accordingly, with effort and determination, the Party, government and people of Tien Giang has completed most of the improtant socioeconomic indicators in 2014. In particular, economic growth is 9.5 percent; per capita income of 39.6 million VND; food production over 1.38 million tons; exports 1.48 billion. Fields of education, health and implementation of social security policies are more positive changes, defense - security is maintained; traffic accidents reduced all 3 criterias.
From the beginning of the year, whether in the context of the general difficulties, the province’s socioeconomic continues to grow with growth reached 8.3 percent in the first quarter; export reached 363 million USD; attract 5,108 billion VND for social investment development capital, including 3 FDI projects with a total investment of 17.5 million USD.
Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Vu Van Ninh appreciated the efforts and results of Tien Giang achieved in recent years. However thereby, Deputy Prime Minister also pointed out the limitations and shortcomings of the province.
To complete the task in 2015, Deputy Prime Minister noted: The province should take advantage of opportunities, achieve this result; implement the resolutions of the National Assembly, the Government targets to complete the plan of 2015; continue to promote economic restructuring, including the restructuring of agriculture in connection with building a new rural, sustainable poverty reduction; continue to promote the restructuring of crops, especially rice linked to planning; try to replicate the model of production value chain; strengthen regional links.
Deputy Prime Minister also noted that the construction of new rural in the province should go into substantive, not chasing achievements; actively improve the new rural criteria consistent with the province; strengthen advocacy and mobilization of people to participate and response to the program. At the same time, Deputy Prime Minister asked the province to prepare well for the Congress Party at all levels.
