Meeting to hold the commemoration of the 140th anniversary of Nguyen Huu Huan's death

The provincial People’s Committee has just organized the meeting to hold the celebration of the commemoration of the 140th anniversary of the national hero Nguyen Huu Huan's death (April 14, 1875 – April 14, 2015, on lunar year). Mr Tran Thanh Duc, Deputy Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, Head of the provincial Organizing Committee of the major holidays chaired the meeting.

At the meeting

The commemoration the 140th anniversary of the death of the national hero Nguyen Huu Huan reviews the nation’s heroic tradition in the fights against foreign aggressors to educate patriotism, ethnic pride of the local people, especially for the young generation. In additon, this commemoration highlights the significance of the valiant spiritual hero to struggle invaders of the national hero Nguyen Huu Huan and raise awareness of officails and people to promote the patriotic tradition for building the social and economic development of the province.

As the plan, the coomemoration will be held at May 31, 2015 at the relic of Thu Khoa Huan’s Temple - Tomb at Hoa Tinh commune, Cho Gao district with 2,000 participants, including 500 delegates. Furthermore, there are many activities such as: the contest of learning about Thu Khoa Huan’s life and achivements, a making delicious cake contest,etc…

Addressing the meeting, Duc requested that the relevant departments performed their tasks assigned to organize activities and celebration of the commemoration of the 140th anniversary of the death of the national hero Nguyen Huu Huan to ensure practical, efficient with considerate, solemn, economical and safe spirit.
