Tien Giang Statistics Office receives the second class Independence Medal

The Statistics Office of Tien Giang province has just held a ceremony to receive the Second Calss Independence Medal. Mr. Nguyen Van Lieu, Deputy Director General Statistics Office, Mr Nguyen Van Khang, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, attended the ceremony.

In recent years, the Statistics Office of Tien Giang province has carried out socioeconomic news periodically and irregularly, implementing fullly of statistical reporting system planned to meet the need of the users of statistical information in and outside the province, compiling of analytical material on the database of the surveys and censuses; providing timely statistical information for the Party congresses of province; publishing annual statistical publications: Statistical Yearbook, socioeconomic news of the province (month, quarter, six months, year), the socioeconomic news period from 2006 to 2010, the period from 2011 - 2013 ...

The Statistics Office of Tien Giang province has been received the first class Labor Medal, the second class Independence Medal and the third class Independenc Medal (2008); the excellent emulation flag of the Prime Minister in 2009 and 2013; the emulation flags of General Statistics Office, Ministry of Planning and Investment, etc…

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Van Khang appreciated the contribution of the Provincial Statistics Office in recent years; and requested the Provincial Statistics Office to continue promoting achievements, to perfome the collection and statistical processing of information better, especially in the construction and evaluation of the implementation the annua plan of the province’s socioeconomic development and 5 years of the province, to serve effectively the formulation mechanisms and developed policies in the province .

On this occasion, the leader of the Ministry of Planning and Investment offered Nguyen Van Khang, Tran Kim Mai (Chaiwoman of the Provincial People’s Committee) and Duong Minh Dieu (Head of Provincial Internal Affairs) campaign medal for Vietnam statistics.
