TUSTA celebrated its 10th anniversary of establishment

On May 26, Tiengiang Union of Science and Technology Association (TUSTA) celebrated its 10th anniversary of establishment and the Vietnam Science and Technology Day (May 18).

Mr Nguyen Anh Tuan, Commissioner of Provincial Standing Committee, Head of the Propaganda Department of Provincial Party Committee; Tran Thanh Duc, Deputy Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee attended the meeting.

Mr Nguyen Anh Tuan, Head of the Propaganda Department of Provincial Party Committee gave flowers to Associate Professor-PhD Vo Ngoc Ha and Ta Van Tram.

In the past 10 years,  the TUSTA has had a new development, achieved more results, contributed to socioeconomic development of the province. Currently, the TUSTA has 54 members of the Executive Board, 26 associate members and seven affiliated uinits. The technical and sientific activities and consulting, social assessmnet are important tasks of the TUSTA and its associated member to demonstrate a sense of responsibility, reflecting the honest and objective opinions of intelligentsia team to contribute to the projects (programs, policies, projects, plans, etc...) of province.

Honouring and respecting for intelligentsia are also focused to respect in the intellectuals who have doctorate and to honour the typical intellectuals who have a work of technical and sientific research used widenly to bring effective socieconomic in local.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr Duc stressed the achievements of the associate members and the role of the intelligentsia of Tien Giang; stimultaneously, proposing that the activitie of associate members in the future need to be consolidated to build a policy system for gathering and developing the intellectual forces in the province.
