Central Economic Committee works with Tien Giang
On June 4, the delegation of the Central Economic Committee led by Mr Le Vinh Tan, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Economic Committee, worked with Tien Giang province about implementing of resolutions and conclusions of the Politburo on regional economic development as well as regional links.

Mr Nguyen Dinh Thong, Deputy Director of the Department of Planning and Investment reported on the content of the guidelines and mechanism’s policies of economic development zones, regional links in Tien Giang. The situation of implementing the resolutions, conclusions and policies on regional economic development, regional links, which focused on the implementation of three key breakthrough strategies, economic restructuring, transfer of growth model; perfecting institution, socio-economic infrastructure development; planning and management planning associated with regional economic development, regional links, etc...
According to Mr Le Hong Quang, the achievements of the region's economic development, regional links have not yet commensurated with the potential and advantages of region. In addition, regional economic development, regional linkage still have elements of spontaneity; have not built a true mechanism of action in practical effect of links, regional economic development yet; have not a mechanism, privacy policy, specific to the region yet.
Mr Le Vinh Tan, Deputy Head of the Central Economic Committee appreciated the Tien Giang province’s achivement of implementing of resolutions and conclusions of the Politburo on economic development zones or regions, contributing to the province with speed high growth as well as motivation for developing common regional and national economy.
Tan also said that, due to its location between the two economic areas, such as economic region southern key economic region and the Mekong Delta, Tien Giang has many favorable and proactive factors in developing regional economy and regional links. The allocation of regional economic development at present is appropriate for local advantages; while linking region have to be in accordance with the direction of integration and market mechanisms to achieve the goal of building the production chain with the lowest cost, etc...
In the future, local authorities need to contribute their idea to complement regional links, the institutional area, the subject of regional links, building links models ... to be suitable to new requirements, avoiding the competition between the provinces, etc...
