Holding solemnly 140th anniversary of the national hero Nguyen Huu Huan's death

On May 31, Tien Giang province held solemnly 140th anniversary of the national hero Nguyen Huu Huan's death (April 14, 1875 – April 14, 2015, on lunar year).

Deputy Secretary of Party Committee Le Hong Quang, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Van Khang, etc… attended this event.

Tien Giang’s Party Committee Deputy Secretary Le Hong Quang and provincial leaders offered incense.

Mr Khang reviewed the life and career of the national hero in early days of the resistance war against the French colonialists more than 140 years ago. He had set a shining example of patriotism and strong will to fight against invaders and defend the country which has been preserved and promoted by younger generations.

These attandance offered incense at the tomb and the temple dedicated to the hero.

Earlier, the delegation of provincial leaders, Cho Gao district and My Tho city offered incense, laid wreath at the Thu Khoa Huan’s monument (Lac Hong Park, Ward 1, My Tho city) and Au Duong Lan’s tomb in Phu Kiet commune, Cho Gao district.
