Tan Dien commune is proclaimed the new rural commune

On July 1, Tan Dien commune was proclaimed the new rural commune by the Go Cong Dong district People’s Committee and The Provincial Standing Steering Committee for National Targeted Program to build new rural areas. Chairman of the Tien Giang People’s Committee Nguyen Van Khang and Vice Chairman of the Tien Giang People's Committee Le Van Nghia attended.

Chairman of the Tien Giang People's Committee Nguyen Van Khang and Vice Chairman of the Tien Giang People's Committee Le Van Nghia handed over the Recognition and the welfare work worth VND1 billion.

This is the fifth commune of the province as well as the second commune of Go Cong Dong district which is recognized the new rural commune.

Tan Dien was selected to build the new rural commune in 2011 with only 5 standards among 19 standards. Until May 7, 2013, Tan Dien commune was added as the pioneer communes of the province. After 4 years of implementing the National National Targeted Program to build new ruaral areas, Tan Dien has got many obvious achievements.

Tan Dien commune has mobilized and invested more than VND121.3 billion (people contributed more than VND40.4 billion) to upgrade its infrastructure, such as asphalting all main roads and building concrete lanes. The commune’s average per capita income as yet stood at VND31.6 million, an increase of 10-15 percent, etc…
