10th Congress of Tien Giang Party Committee concludes successfully

On October 21, the 10th Congress of Tien Giang Party Committee concluded successfully after three days (from October 19 to October 21) working with seriousness, solidarity, democracy spirit.

The Congress adopted the Political report of the Executive Committee of the province’s 9th Party Congress submitting the province’s 10th Party Congress to assess the implementation’s results of the Resolution in last tenure, simultaneously, to set targets, tasks and solutions to socio-economic development of the 2015 - 2020 period and the following years.

The Congress also adopted the report reviewing the leadership and guidance of the Executive Committee of the province’s 9th Party Congress, the 2010 – 2015 tenure, whereby assessing strengths and weaknesses and learning from experience, thence the Executive Committee of the Provincial Party Congress in new courses to promote strengths as well as to surmount weaknesses.

At the Congress, the delegates focused on discussing, setting out tasks and measures for economic development with fast, affordable and sustainable, implementing culture-society, defence-security, social security’s guarantee effectively, building a strong political system, enhancing leadership capacity and combativeness of the party organizations at grassroots, etc…

The Congress elected the Executive Committee of the province’s 10th Party Congress, the 2015-2020 tenure, consisting of 50 members. The Executive Committee of new term has conducted the first session to elect the Standing Provincial Party Committee with 15 members.

 

Mr Nguyen Van Danh became the Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee after being chosen by 15-member Standing Provincial Party Committee. The Standing Provincial Party Committee also voted for three Deputy Secretaries of the Provincial Party Committee-Le Hong Quang, Vo Van Binh, and Le Van Huong. Mr Nguyen Ngoc Tram has been voted to be Chairman of the Supervisory Commission of the province’s 10th Party Committee.

 

The board also selected 17 delegates to attend the 12th National Party Congress.
