Thanh Binh is proclaimed the new rural commune

On October 1, Thanh Binh commune has just been proclaimed the new rural commune by Cho Gao district People’s Committee and The Provincial Standing Steering Committee for National Targeted Program to build new rural areas.

 

Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Tien Giang People’s Committee Mr Nguyen Van Khang attended this event.

 

Chairman of the Tien Giang People's Committee Nguyen Van Khang handed over the Recognition and the welfare work worth VND1 billion.

This is the second commune of Cho Gao district which is recognized the new rural commune.

After 4 years of implementing the National Targeted Program to build new ruaral areas, Thanh Binh commune has got many obvious achievements, including 19 standards of the new rural commune, etc…

 

Thanh Binh commune has mobilized and invested more than VND212.5 billion (people contributed more than VND142.3 billion) to upgrade its infrastructure, such as asphalting all main roads and building concrete lanes.

 

The commune’s average per capita income as yet stood at VND31 million. In implementing of helping to develop economic, the poverty rate of household is reduced by 0.1 percent in comparison with 2013. The poverty rate of household is now 2.2 percent.
