Vice President listens to Ha Nam voters' opinions
Vice President Nguyen Thi Doan and National Assembly deputies from Ha Nam province on September 30, held talks with voters from provincial-level departments and agencies and Dong Van Industrial Zone ahead of the upcoming tenth session of the 13th National Assembly.
Local voters were informed of the agenda of the upcoming 13th NA's tenth session to be held from October 20 to November 25 in Hanoi.
Voters from Ha Nam Police suggested the early promulgation of laws and revised laws related to temporary detention and custody, and the criminal procedure to facilitate the process of handling violations.
Voter Tong Van Tam, Chairman of Ha Nam Provincial Farmers' Association proposed the promulgation of mechanisms to help farmers access preferential bank loans and the timely treatment of environmental pollution in rural areas.
Meanwhile, voter Nguyen Van Khanh from Hoang Duong joint-stock company recommended the treatment of waste water and solid waste, and more investment in housing, medical and recreation facilities for workers at industrial zones in order to attract more investment in these zones.
Other voters raised their voice over allowances for victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin, insurance policies for workers at industrial zones, and the transfer of economic structures to rural areas among others.
Vice President Doan appreciated opinions from local voters, saying that their opinions will be discussed at the upcoming NA working session.
She noted that Ha Nam should pay more attention to addressing environmental issues at industrial zones including waste treatment, the supply of clean water and the handling of damaged road sections. She also suggested Ha Nam authorities pay attention to providing vocational training to serve the increasing demand from industrial zones.
