The 14th session of the 8th Tien Giang People's Council closes

On December 11, the 14th session of the 8th Tien Giang People’s Council completed the setting program and closed after four days working with urgency, democratic and responsible spirit.

On the morning of the last working day (December 11), leaders of the Provincial People’s Committee (PPC) continued to answer questions as well as explain many urgent matters of delegates, voters and presented the solution on socio-economic governance, defense, security, directions and tasks of PPC on the year of 2016.

At the session, on a basis of many reports, statement of the Standing Provincial People's Council, the PPC, many Boards of Provincial People's Council, opinions of voters and related industries, delegates focused on discussing, contributing and adopted 24 resolutions on many fields unanimously as the basis for PPC and every department to organize implementing.

On the afternoon of the same day, delegates voted on dissmissing and voted on some additional leadership positions of the Standing Provincial People's Council and the 8th PPC term of 2011-2016.
Accordingly, many leaders were dissmissed such as: Deuty Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council Tran Kim Trat, Chairman of the PPC Nguyen Van Khang, Vice Chairwoman of the PPC Tran Kim Mai, former Commander of the Provincial Military Command Tran Van Lan, former Chief of the Provincial Police Nguyen Quoc Diep, former Chief of the PPC Secretariat Nguyen Van Chien.

According to additional election result, member of the Provincial Party Committee's Standing Board, Chairwoman of the Provincial Women's Union Nguyen Thi Sang, has been elected Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People’s Council.

Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Le Van Huong, has been elected Chairman of the PPC. Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of  Chau Thanh district Party Committee Pham Anh Tuan, has been elected Deputy Chairman of the PPC.

Three members of the PPC comprised member of the Provincial Party Committee's Standing Board, Chief of the Provincial Police Nguyen Huu Tri; member of the Provincial Party Committee's Standing Board, Commander of the Provincial Military Command Chau Hoang Phuong; member of the Provincial Party Committee, Chief of the PPC Secretariat Pham Van Trong.

Addressing the closing session, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Van Danh, appreciated the spirit of hard and responsibility work of delegates, especially the province’s leaders, departments and agencies giving the responsible spirit, explaining "frankly, honestly," many issues to delegates and voters asked, to give the best solutions and measures to solve many requirements of the province for urgent matters which were concerned by voters.

He also suggested that: In the future, the PPC needs to focuse on checking, steering positively the instituttionalization of the Provincial People’s Council’s solutions issued. Every department, industry effectively solve many "promises" before delegates and voters. At the same time, to organize well the election of the National Assembly’s deputies and People's Councils at all levels for the term of 2016 – 2021, to continue building an increasingly clean and strong politic system at all levels, to implement successfully objectives and tasks of developing socio-economic in the year of 2016, ...
