Social security has been secured while people’s living conditions have been much improved, he said, adding that the position of the country on the international arena continues to be enhanced.

At the gathering, delegates also reviewed the glorious history, tradition and achievements of the People's Army over the past 71 years, while expressing national pride and gratitude forprevious military generations.

The meeting was a display of gratitude and honour to the great contributions of former senior military officers who spent their youth directly involved in combat, ready to sacrifice their lives for national independence and freedom.
