Newly-elected leaders get foreign congratulations

Austrian President Heinx Fischer and Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic have extended their congratulations to newly-elected President Tran Dai Quang.

On April 2, Tran Dai Quang was sworn in as President of Vietnam after 91.5% of the total National Assembly (NA) deputies elected him to the position by secret ballot during the 11th session of the 13th National Assembly.

Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has also received congratulatory messages from his counterparts from India, Malaysia, Rumania, Finland, and Bhutan on his new position.

Newly-elected National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan has been congratulated by Speaker of the Finnish Parliament Maria Lohela.
