Ceremonial anniversary of 41 years of the South liberation and nation unification

On April 29, at the provincial convention Center, the Provincial Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee and Vietnamese Fatherland Front Committee solemnly held the anniversary of 41 years of the South liberation and nation unification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2016), the 130th anniversary of International Workers’ Day (May 1, 1886 - May 1, 2016) and the 126th anniversary of late President Ho Chi Minh’s birthday (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2016).

Attending the event were Chairman of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour Bui Van Cuong, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Van Danh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Le Hong Quang, Deputy Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Tran Thanh Duc, Heroic Vietnamese Mothers, representatives of the departments and agencies, etc…

On behalf of the provincial leaders, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Van Danh delivered a speech to celebrate 41 years of the South liberation and nation unification, the 130th anniversary of International Workers’ Day  and the 126th anniversary of late President Ho Chi Minh’s birthday.

Going through two struggles anti-US resistance and the anti-French colonialist, the Party Committee and people of Tien Giang province have united to overcome the difficult and hardship paths, trying to mobilize and build revolutionary forces, onstantly attacking the enemy to win victoties by setting up many such glorious victories as Ap Bac vitory, Ba Rai victory and many other glorious victories.

The spirit of April 30, 1975 is always promoted highly by the Party Committee and people of Tien Giang province in healing the wounds of war towards industrialization and modernization for continue to improve people's life.

Passing 40 years of construction and development, the Trade Union organization of Tien Giang has constantly growed to the broad political organization representing the rights and legitimate interests of the working class.

All activities of Tien Giang Trade Unions have focused on the purpose of building a strong working class as well as contributing importantly to the overall development of the province and the coutry’s cause of national industrialization - modernization.

On this occasion, the Provincial Party Committee awarded the traditional flag to the Labor Federation of the province.
