The event was co-chaired by President Tran Dai Quang, Politburo member and permanent member of the PCC Secretariat Dinh The Huynh and President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Central Committee Nguyen Thien Nhan.
Addressing the event, Politburo member Dinh The Huynh congratulated outcomes gained by sectors, localities and agencies over the past five years in realising the directive, stressing that the achievements have positively contributed to enhancing Party building.
He said that the Politburo has successfully promulgated Directive 05, which encourages the entire Party, people and army to follow President Ho Chi Minh’s moral examples and lifestyle, making it a regular task of Party organisations, authorities, and the VFF as well as of every Party member, Youth union member and citizen.
The Politburo also asked Party organisations, authorities, political and social organisations to introduce the content of study and President Ho’s example into their emulation movements as well as promote their action plans to realise the 12th Party Congress Resolution, he added.
Exemplary models in the drive should be honoured and duplicated nationwide, he emphasised.
He also noted the need to compile lectures and curriculum on President Ho’s ideology and moral example, to be taught in the national educational system as well as in institutes, political academies and training centres for high-ranking officials.
On the occasion, a total of 354 collectives and 365 individuals were presented with the Prime Minister’s certificates of merit for their outstanding performance in the campaign.
