Marking the 65th anniversary of the traditional sectors of Industry and Trade of Vietnam

Tien Giang Department of Trade and Industry has just held a solemn ceremony to mark the 65th anniversary of the traditional sectors of Industry and Trade of Vietnam (May 14, 1952-May 14, 2016). Deputy Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Le Van Nghia took part in the event.

At the meeting, delegates reviewed the 65th of the traditional sectors of Industry and Trade of Vietnam. Over 65 years, cadres and servants working in the field of industry and trade have successfully completed tasks assigned that would be an important contribution to the process of construction and development of the province.

The industrial production value of the whole province in 2015 reached 64,716 billion VND, an twofold increase compared to 2010. The value of industrial production made in 2015 64716.9 billion, doubling in 2010. The export grew continuously in many past years, an average increase of 25.2 percent per year in the period 2011-2015. Until 2015, the province's export turnover reached 1.759 billion USD, an increase of three times compared to 2010, etc…

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Le Van Nghia recognized and appreciated the achievements of the sector in recent years, contributing to the successful completion of the objectives and tasks of economic and social development in the province.

On this occasion, the the Provincial People’s Committee awarded Certificate of Merit to three teams and sixteen individuals of Tien Giang Industry and Trade sector for their achievements in 2014-2015.
