With the theme “For safe lives, preventing accidents and injuries for children.”, the 2016 action month for children will last from June 1 to June 30, 2016. The 2016 action month for children focuses on effectively implementation policies, programs, social advocacy, raising awareness and responsibilities of the agencies and organizations, families, individuals and children in prevention of accidents, child injuries, especially drowning accident water and traffic accident, ensuring children to be lived in a safe environment to develop healthy.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Mr. Tran Thanh Duc, Deputy Chairman of Tien Giang required departments to focus on the care of children, the implementation of policies for poor children, children with special conditions for the 2016 action month achieved good result.

On this occasion, the provincial children Fund gave 120 scholarships for needy pupils of the primary school and secondary school in My Tho city, Cai Lay town, and Go Cong town.
