National Assembly Standing Committee to scrutinise law-making in 2017
The Standing Committee of the 13th National Assembly (NA) will convene its 49th session in Hanoi June 13-15 to scrutinise the legislature’s 2017 law and ordinance building programme.

The committee will debate preparation for the 14th NA’s first meeting, and give comments on the enforcement of the Law on Thrift Practice and Wastefulness Prevention in 2015, the State budget balance in 2014, and the allocation of excess budget collection and savings from regular budget spending in 2015.
It will hear a report on the results of the elections of the 14th NA and all-level People’s Councils for the 2016-2021 tenure, and consider approving the organisational and operational regulations of the jury.
The committee will also discuss issues related to clothes and ID cards of judges and jurors, salary and allowance for civil servants working in people’s courts and the Supreme People’s Procuracy, among others.
