Deputy PM receives Dong Thap's national contributors

The Party, State and Government always remember the great sacrifices and contributions of heroes, fallen soldiers and revolutionary contributors around the country as a whole and from Dong Thap province in particular, to the struggle for national independence and reunification.

Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh made the remarks while hosting a reception in Hanoi on July 15 for a delegation of Dong Thap’s revolutionary contributors on the occasion of their visit to the capital city.

The Party and State always care for and create the most favourable conditions for the spiritual and material lives of the national contributors to the revolution, Binh affirmed.

He expressed his wish that Dong Thap’s contributors would continue upholding the traditions of the revolution as well as the strong will of communist soldiers, functioning as bright examples for the younger generation to follow.

Praising Dong Thap authorities’ efforts to exercise policies for local revolution contributors, the deputy PM urged the province to further accelerate this meaningful work.

Dong Thap currently has more than 55,000 contributors to the revolution, with over 13,000 of them under regular preferential subsidies. During the past years, the province has built 11,569 houses of gratitude and supported repairs of 3,718 houses for revolutionary contributors.
