Summarizing the "Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign 2016"

On September 16, Tien Giang Communist Youth Union Tien Giang University has recently summarized the “Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign 2016”. Deputy Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Tran Thanh Duc attended this event. 

 

Collectives and individuals received the Provincial People's Committee's Certificate of Merit.

Summer volunteer campaign this year attracted over 1,800 union officials, youth union members, students participated. Over 3 months of implementation, the youth has done many practical significance works such as repairing and building 37 bridges, 320 kilometer of rural roads and building 57 kindness houses. In addition, the youth union members also held many environmental protection activities, participating in building a new countryside, giving free-of-charge medical check-ups and medicine to the poor, organizating playground, awarding scholarships, gifts to children in locals.

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Tran Thanh Duc praised results that the youth union efforted to achieve in the “Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign 2016”. At the same time, he desired that local authorities need to review and evaluate the work of organizing a campaign of summer youth volunteer campaign in the coming time to timely supplement and adjust many solutions to ensure the successful implementation of the campaign in next years according to educational and practical principles to make this year’s summer youth volunteer deeply and practical.

 

On this occasion, the provincial People Committee awarded group and individuals for their outstanding achievements in the “Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign 2016”.
