Government and VFF Presidium sign joint resolution
A joint resolution establishing guidelines on coordinating the implementation of sustainable poverty reduction, urban management and the construction of new-style rural areas was signed in Hanoi on October 3 by the Government and the Presidium of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Central Committee.

The signing ceremony was attended by Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc; VFF Chairman Nguyen Thien Nhan; and Deputy PMs including Truong Hoa Binh, Vuong Dinh Hue, Pham Binh Minh, Vu Duc Dam and Trinh Dinh Dung; along with Deputy Chairman and delegates of the VFF Presidium.
At the ceremony, PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc represented the Government, while VFF Chairman Nguyen Thien Nhan represented the VFF Presidium in signing the joint resolution.
The joint resolution aims to raise awareness and strengthen accountability at all levels within relevant agencies and organisations while creating synchronous, effective and close collaboration between the Government and the VFF Central Committee in working towards targets for programmes for sustainable poverty reduction, urban management and the construction of new-style rural areas.
Through the campaign, “The whole people united to build a cultured life in residential areas,” which contributes to building new-style rural areas and civilized urban areas, launched by the VFF Central Committee, the VFF Central Committee and relevant agencies and organisations at all levels will supervise and refine social policies to ensure that State resources are effectively distributed and used for the right purposes.
