The PPC defines 9 groups of solutions for socioeconomic development in year 2017

On December 27, the Provincial People’s Committee (PPC) held the conference to summarize the direction and administration of socioeconomic in year 2016 and deploy the taks of year 2017. Chairman of the PPC Le Van Huong and Vice Chairmans of the PPC chaired the conference.

In year 2016, the PPC has possibly implemented the direction and operation socioeconomic so the socioeconomic situation of  year 2016 achieved positive results. The Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) in year 2016 reached over 52.400 billion VND, increasing 8.5 percent, higher than year 2015. Some sectors continued to grow fairly good as: the value of industrial production increased 19.3 percent, export reached over USD 2.1 billion, trade and attracting tourists continued to rise, the revenue reached over 135 percent estimate of year, 560 new enterprises established, attracting foreign investment as well as capital social development increased more than in year 2015, the social and cultural sector continuously developed stability, defense security maintained.

At the conference, Chau Thanh district, Tan Phuoc district, Cai Be district and Tan Phu Dong district reported many urgent issues in year 2016 as well as proposed solutions to remove difficulties, obstacles and perform key tasks in year 2017, etc…

To develop socio-economic in year 2017, the province focused on implementing 9 group of key solutions such as: Improving the business investment climate, promoting growth, strengthening regional linkings, the joint project; Implementing effectively the scheme of agricultural restructuring and the scheme industrial restructuring, increasing competitiveness, promoting economic development. Implementing effectively financial policies, budget, expanding and improving the efficiency of revenue increase; Developing culture and society and caring people's life; Focusing on implementing effective measures to respond to climate change, disaster prevention, strengthening the management of environmental resources; Promoting administrative reform, information technology applications; Improving the efficiency of foreign affairs of international integration, strengthening national defense and security; Strengthening information and communication in the direction of transparency, efficiency and social consensus.
