Holding solemnly 70th anniversary of Co Co victory

On January 20, at the Co Co historical monument, the Provincial Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee and Vietnamese Fatherland Front Committee solemnly held the anniversary of 70 years of Co Co victory (January 22, 1947-January 22, 2017).

Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, the Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Van Danh; Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Van Huong, etc… attended this event.

At the meeting, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Van Huong delivered a speech to review the traditional of 70th  of Co Co victory (January 22, 1947-January 22, 2017).  

Co Co battle was one of the first victories of the army and people in the South after the French invaded Vietnam secondly, creating impetus for the armed forces of My Tho and Go Cong provinces to promote the fighting spirit responsed the call for national resistance of President Ho Chi Minh, contributing to the success of the war against France in the period 1945- 1954, etc…

During the construction phase of development of the country, Tien Giang province constantly strived for the local’s socioeconomic development to improve people's life.

70 years passed, the spirit of Co Co victory is always promoted highly by the Party Committee and people of Tien Giang province in healing the wounds of war towards industrialization and modernization for continue to improve people's life.
