NA Office urged to improve quality of its performance

The National Assembly (NA) Office needs to uphold its responsibility, overcome all limitations and shortcomings and innovate its structure to improve the quality and efficiency of its performance.

 The statement was made by NA Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan while attending the NA Office’s conference to review its performance in 2016 and devise tasks for 2017.

Addressing the conference, NA Chairwoman Ngan appreciated the achievements that the NA Office, the agency to advise and assist the NA, the bodies of the NA and the NA Standing Committee, gained in the past year.

 

She also emphasised that the key task of the whole political system in 2017 will be the implementation of the Resolution of the 12th National Party Congress and the 2013 Constitution. In order to complete set tasks and plans, the NA need to fulfill its role in three functions: legislation, monitoring and decision of important issues of the country.

 

The NA Office should make more efforts to advise and serve the NA in implementing programmes and plans to build ordinances and laws and monitoring activities as well as deciding important issues,developing external programmes and contributing to successful organisation of the sessions of the NA Standing Committee and conferences for NA deputies in 2017, said the NA Chairwoman.

 

She stressed that the NA Office should enhance the communication of the activities of the NA, the NA’s bodies and deputies as well as the application of information and technology advances in its work.

 

It is highly essential for the NA Office to closely co-ordinate with relevant agencies in its performance as well as continue to strengthen its organisational apparatus, noted NA Chairwoman Ngan.
