PM pays Tet visit to Quang Ngai province
Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc extended Lunar New Year (Tet) greetings to Quang Ngai province’s Party organisation, authorities and people during his Tet visit to the central locale on the afternoon of January 30.

The Government leader spoke highly of Quang Ngai’s significant achievements attained in 2016, asking the province to continue making breakthroughs in 2017 and the following years.
He encouraged the province to fully tap into its potential and advantages for development, including the presence of the Dung Quat Oil Refinery and Ly Son island district, which is currently a bright spot for investment in the central region.
Quang Ngai needs to boost links and exchange with neighbouring provinces, including Quang Nam, Da Nang and Binh Dinh, for a combined effort to revive the regional economy, PM Phuc said.
He asked the locale to issue more preferential policies to attract investment in large projects; create favourable conditions for supporting industries to develop; ensure the issue of environmental protection while calling for investment; and take specific moves to attract more tourists to the locality.
In his report to the PM, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Le Viet Chu noted that despite constantly facing with natural disasters in 2016, Quang Ngai recorded significant results in terms of socio-economic development, social welfare and security, and national defence.
Earlier in the morning, PM Phuc visited and conveyed Tet wishes to the Party organisation, authorities and people of Quang Nam province.
