NA Chairwoman congratulates Vietnam border guard forces

National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan visited and congratulated leaders and officers of the Vietnam Border Guard High Command on March 3, on the occasion of the 58th anniversary of the Vietnam Border Guard’s Day and the 28th anniversary of the All People's Border Guard Day.

On behalf of leaders of the Vietnam Border Guard High Command, Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien, who is Party Central Committee (PCC) member and Commander of the border guard under the Vietnamese People's Army, reported on the results of border guard forces in the past time.

NA Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan presented flowers and delivered her best wishes to the border guard force.

 

She highlighted the force’s accomplishments in protecting national sovereignty and security in border areas, sea and islands, as well as its role in socio-economic development in border areas.

 

The NA chairwoman also asked the force to continue making endeavours to strengthen its capacity in national defence, while continuing to maintain peaceful and friendly borderlines with neighbouring countries in line with the Party and State’s external relations policy.
