In the first quarter, the provincial economy continued to stabilize and develop with high economic growth rate. The investment environment, business has made significant progress. The economic growth rate increased by 7.4 percent. The total budget revenue was 3,206 billion VND, reaching 34.1 percent of the plan, increasing by 20.6 percent over the same period. Industrial production value achieved 22,627 billion VND, reaching 23.8 percent of the plan, increasing by 16.2 percent over the same period. The export turnover reached 566.7 million USD, reaching 24.1% of the plan, increasing by 36.2 percent over the same period.

Many important projects continued to be directed to ensure timely progress. The total investment capital of the whole society was 5,581 billion VND, increasing by 10.4 percent over the same period. The education, health care, culture, sport and social security fields have been strengthened, meeting the demand for political tasks and contributing to improving the spiritual life of the people, etc…

In the first quarter, the Standing Committee of Tien Giang provincial Party Committee continued to strictly observe the working regulations, principles of Party activities, leading the implementation of defined basic tasks.
